PRESIDENT
Victor Gatica
Victor Gatica is a third-year student majoring in Kinesiology. His passion for exercise and movement, as well as his desire to help people get back to doing the things they enjoy, is what led him to pursue physical therapy. Some of his interests include working out, going on hikes, and playing guitar. As President, he hopes to increase the networking opportunities available to members, and help members become more competitive applicants for PT school.

VICE PRESIDENT
​Justice Hebert
Justice Hebert is a junior at UNLV majoring in Kinesiology. His hobbies include spending time with his dogs, going to the gym, and traveling. One of his goals is to become a physical therapist for a Veterans Affairs Hospital.

SECRETARY
Breann Sosa
Breann Sosa is a junior majoring in Kinesiology. In her free time, she enjoys working out, traveling, and trying new foods with friends and family. She's pursuing physical therapy to prioritize customized programs tailored to rehabilitate each individual's personal goals and needs. As a PT, she'll have the opportunity to promote healthy environments and habits that will improve patient's quality of life.

TREASURER
Silvia Lin
Silvia Lin is currently a junior majoring in Psychology. Originally from Taiwan, she moved to the United States when she was 15 years old. Her passion for physical therapy began at a young age when she accompanied her grandparents to their physical therapy sessions. These experiences, combined with her background in ballet and the injuries she sustained, sparked her interest in the importance of proper movement and posture. She is excited to bring her dedication to the club this upcoming year, where she looks forward to contributing meaningfully and making a positive impact on the community.

CHAIR OF PHILANTHROPY
Brenton Stewart
Brenton Stewart is a UNLV Kinesiology graduate and U.S. Navy veteran currently completing prerequisites for a Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. As a philanthropist on the LKD Board, he's excited to facilitate opportunities for students through observation and volunteer hours. His passion for physical therapy comes from his experiences as a PT clinic aide, former athlete, and firefighter, which have given him valuable insights into rehabilitation and fitness. Outside of academics, he enjoys working out, watching sports (especially football), and spending time with family and friends, all while developing a fitness product and recording a podcast about his pre-PT journey. His goal is to earn his license and use his knowledge and experience to inspire and support others in their pursuit of fitness and recovery.

CHAIR OF FUNDRAISING
Karmelo Walker
Karmelo Walker is a second-year student at UNLV. He enjoys staying active to better his lifestyle. He has always been interested in working in the medical/healthcare field and decided on physical therapy after family experiences. He now works at a physical therapy clinic around his school schedule. As Chair of Fundraising, he hopes to give back to his community and ensure that LKD strives to pave a pathway towards physical therapy.

PUBLIC RELATIONS
Maria Alejandra Martinez Pena
Maria Alejandra Martinez Pena is a third-year student majoring in Kinesiology. She enjoys fitness, family, and trying new foods. Her love for physical therapy arose from her first shadowing experience where she witnessed the provider-to-patient connection and the great part physical therapists play in a patient's recovery. As Chair of Public Relations, she hopes to extend LKD's reach to those who are curious to learn about physical therapy.

CHAIR OF MARKETING
Yohanna Tagapan
Yohanna Tagapan is a junior majoring in Kinesiology who wants to become a Physical Therapist in Pediatrics. She enjoys taking dance classes, playing badminton, and going to concerts. As Chair of Marketing, she hopes to promote the club and be a helping hand to those interested in physical therapy.
